Weight Loss Affirmations

Q. Do you have any good weight loss affirmations? I'm looking for one that I like.

A. I'm not sure what you mean by weight loss affirmations? Do you mean something you repeatedly say to yourself that's a positive, or something else?

Have you learned to use EFT? If you've signed up to receive "The Daily Bites" you'll get tons of tips and ideas for using EFT but it's completely different than affirmations.

Some people get hung up on the difference between a process such as EFT and positive affirmations, but I can assure you that using EFT, you'll get the best results if you just say the thing you do not want, and focus on that and all the associated feelings while you do the tapping. Then you'll get the most amazing relief from your issues once and for all. Try it before you decide it won't work.

You can also use affirmations but they are separate. EFT addresses the emotional pathways and attachments we have to our negative beliefs while affirmations help reinforce new ideas and beliefs. I used to have a "Think Thin" little note in front of me all the time. ;-)

Anytime you catch yourself saying something negative or bad, especially if it's about you, just say, "No, that's not right. I'm ...." and put something postive in its place. Have fun with it. If you carelessly spill something and the first thing you say is, "What an idiot," then say, "No, not an idiot just a free spirited little imp," or whatever.

The idea is to stop saying we are bad or wrong and replace it with something positive. Look for the positive and you'll find it.

Keeping Weight Off

Q. I've tried a lot of diets and I've lost weight on all of them. The hard part for me is keeping the weight off. Any ideas?

A. Yes. Learn EFT, and then use it daily. You'll find it's easy to keep the weight off oncne you've eliminated the emotional issues that underlie the tendency to regain.
