Moses Cochrane - One of the 12 young men chosen to compete for the Mr. Hudson's Bay pageant, Senior Year. The Kids raised more than $64,000 for Doernbecher's Hospital (who named a wing, The Eagles' Bay, in their honor as thanks).
This is the paper he proveded for his biography:
Moses Cochrane
Age: 17
High School Accomplishments: I got a 4.0 Freshman year, received a lot of awards for perfect attendance. Have been on the Principal's Honor Roll all four years now.
Interests/Hobbies: I am interested in girls. I like to play football. I play a lot of sweet video games like GTA: San Andreas
What excites you about being in this pageant? What
are you looking forward to?
I am excited to do some ridiculous dances. It is going to be a good time looking
like a fool on the dance floor. I am looking forward to seeing how much money
we can raise.
Explain Doernbecher’s importance to you. Why
do you want to support this cause?
I think that Doernbecher's is a great place for children to go when they are
having a medical problem. It's just great to know that there is a place like
Doernbecher's to help people out. I couldn't think of a more rewarding thing
than to raise money to help children in need at a hospital.

Fun Facts to Know and Tell: Moses has seven brothers and sisters. His oldest brother, Bill Cochrane IV, is a fire fighter in San Diego, his dad, Bill Cochrane III was a fire fighter in New York. He comes from a long line of athletes including his great grandfather Bernard Martyn, and grand father Bob Martyn, both honored by induction into the Athletes Hall of Fame at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon in 1999 and 2000 respectively. Bernard Martyn's record of 14 varsity letters in four sports at Linfield between 1925 and 1928 can never be broken as he was allowed to participate in track and baseball simultaneously. They would hold up the baseball game long enough for him to trot over to the track and run his events. Since Linfield will no longer allow this, his record cannot be broken!
